Gardening for Ecology | An evening with John Little
Newham
Hosted by Friends of Chandos Road Gardens
A workshop with gardener and designer John Little
Join this workshop with gardener and designer John Little, co-founder of Care not Capital. Led by John’s expertise, we’ll imagine how Chandos Road Gardens can prioritise biodiversity while rethinking the role urban parks can play in an era of climate and ecological crises. John will share strategies to increase biodiversity, create wildlife habitats, and reuse materials in the garden, helping us to shape a garden design we'll implement over the next two years.
All ages welcome, and snacks and refreshments will be provided!
Date:
Thursday, 15th October - 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
Anthotype workshop | Colourful prints from plants Greenwich
Hosted by Christchurch School Community Garden
Join us for a one-day workshop to discover an early photographic process as we make light-sensitive emulsions from turmeric, beetroot, spinach, and more!
Anthotype is possibly the earliest photographic process, before all toxic chemicals of the darkroom were introduced. It is a mindful process in collaboration with nature at the Christchurch School Community Garden.
The workshop is led by Sarah Garrod, an expert in historical photographic techniques.

Friday, 28th August - 11:00 am - 13:00 pm

Volunteers will also be on hand to give you a tour of the garden and pond. Perhaps you will depict some of the insects and plants you spot on your pot.
